Summer Break

I have been doing so many weddings I didn't even have time to post to my blog. There is a break that I have. I was called about a wedding in Monterey and told the bride she was probably better of contacting 'A Wedding By the Sea' in Monterey CA they do nice weddings. For now I have been spending lots of time with Vezelia my little girl and working on one of my creative passions. I make Bath and Body products and they can be purchased at www.melmarsoaphut.etsy.com I also offer soap favors that are very fragrant for brides to offer to the guests attending their weddings, if anyone wants some they are very affordable at $1.50 with label and a little message or $1.00 for just a 1oz cute soap that can be decorated by the brides.

I joined in marriage this beautiful couple... Joy and Joshua, they were married in Morrow Bay on November 15, 2008. The day was fantastically warm for a day in November and I so enjoyed performing this ceremony, I could hear the waves crashing in the background with soft sounds of music. Mark and Nancy are such a warm and loving couple with so much love for the Lord. I joined them in marriage on Sat October 4th, 2008. It was one of those autumn days, with the leaves falling and the wind slowly blowing, for a minute there we thought it may even rain, but it cleared in time for the wedding. Here you can see as I joing them in marriage and some pictures of them after the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Picadilly Inn it's a really nice place to hold weddings, refreshments were served to keep the guests cool while the wedding party arrived and once the ceremony started, I will let you all know that Marian looked so beautiful, her two little daughters were her flower girls they were dressed in white dresses and so looked like their mother. Michael and Marian are very lucky to share their life together, they had such a connection and so much love the whole ceremony was overflowing with love, I love to see two people who are so in love make such a profound commitment. I look foward as always to receive pictures from them and if I do I will upload for you all to see them.

Kelly and Ki-Moon married in Torninos Fresno Aug 22, 2008

Such a special couple I so enjoyed meeting and getting to know Kelly and Ki-Moon and I enjoyed meeting their families, when Kelly called to request I join her and Ki-Moon we immediately hit it off, we talked of Korean dramas which by the way are so great, the actors get really into the drama and you feel the emotions so deeply, I recommend 'Stairway to Heaven'. Kelly wanted a rehearsal before the wedding so I made sure to be out there by Wed the 20th so we could ensure the ceremony on the wedding day was flawless, and it was. The ceremony location was setup with flowers and elegant touches through out the room, I loved the creativity that Kelly had even in creating the favors which were chocolates with their picture on the wrapping paper and the names and wedding date, wrapped in chiffon, so pretty... I don't even want to eat it, I am keeping as a souvenir. I hope to receive pictures and if I do I will be sure with their permission to post them for everyone to see this beautiful couple.

Selissa and Johnny Married in Fresno July 26, 08

What a nice way to start the day, I prepared the night before for the ceremony and laid out the robe and I placed their new ceremony in the book. I use a cream colored book, I think I'm going to look for another one soon, this one is getting worn-out with so much use. My little girl was invited to this wedding so it was the first time I took her to a wedding, it was nice to see her behave so well. The wedding was held in the Woodward Park in the Japanese Garden, as I drove up to the gate, there stood two well dressed men in black tuxedos giving me entrance to the park, what a nice touch. Once I arrived at the Japanese Garden the family was gathering around, there were lakes for viewing pleasure, bridges to cross over, and shapely trees, so nice, the wedding was at 8:30am and there was a fresh breeze, it was all very nice. Once the family finished arriving we commenced the ceremony with Selissa making her entrance, she looked so radiante and full of life, and Johnny had a very serene composure that displayed confidence in his decision to get married. Then there was the Dove Release, oh that was magical when the two white doves were released by the bride and grooms mothers they flew up and perched together on the pine tree, that was so beautiful. Once the ceremony was complete I pronounced them married and presented them to everyone, the picture taking started and I gathered my daughter and we went for a walk through the beautiful gardens, I felt a little moved as I looked at my daughter with me, I felt blessed to be able to provide this couple with my services, and at the same time bring the one precious being God gave me, my little girl.

Mayra and Minervo married in Porterville CA

On Saturday Jul 12,08 I joined Mayra and Minervo in Porterville CA. The wedding ceremony was situated in Bartlett Park. The ceremony took place in a gazebo overlooking the lake with swans playfully displaying themselves... it was very nice to see such a natural setting. Weddings are all so varied no two are alike, that is one of the most exciting parts of my service to couples, when I arrive and see the place beautifully setup and everyone so happy to be there it just make my job so much more pleasurable. The ceremony started with the gathering of words, the exchanging of vows, rings, and finally the presentation of couple. Mayra was very touched by her vows and displayed so much love towards Minervo for a few moments I had to slow down so I could allow herself and even myself composure, one very touching moment was when Minervo lifted his hand to dry her tears... I tell you sometimes I am trully moved by the sentiments of the groom, there are times when brides become overwhelmed with emotion and it is very important for the Minister to be in touch with the flow and sensibility of the bride, so please do research before you hire a Minister meet with them most offer a free consultation, and try to feel if you connect with them at the time of consultation, a connection should be felt between the Minister and the Couple, your marriage is not about finding the cheapest Minister it's a very if not one of the most special day of your life. Ceremony Presentations in July 2008

So great! I had two back to back presentations in one week. On Sat Jul 5th I meet with Yuliana and Greg for their wedding ceremony presentation they are getting married in Pismo Beach on Nov 8,08 at 6pm. It's going to be great!!! We are incorporating the 'Sand Ceremony' into their vows, rings... Greg want to have all his male friends bring out their motorcycles (bikes), and have pictures takes with them on the background and the ocean waves it's going to be really nice. Then on Tue Jul 8,08 I meet with Mayra and Minervo for their wedding ceremony presentation they are getting married this Sat Jul 12, 08 in Porterville. I am going to enjoy going to their wedding it's in the Bartlett Park in Porterville and Mayra seems really happy to tie the knot and I am happy for them. Well I have to go and work on their ceremony presentation to have it to them by COB today Thursday. I have e-mails to respond to so it's going to be an exciting day at Joy Filled Weddings!!!!

Well I checked my e-mail and found a request from a couple so I quickly started to work for them and now I have another ceremony presentation tomorrow Fri Jul 11, 08 at around 2:30pm. I am going to meet with Chelsi and Phillip of Madera a couple who is getting married on Sun Aug 3, 08 in Woodward Park, they will be coming out to my home. I just love meeting with all these wonderful couples so I can answer all their questions and assist them in the selection of their ceremony program which is one of the most memorable parts of the wedding day.

This has been a very busy week... I love when I am busy, I received an e-mail from a couple whom are getting married on Aug 30, 2008 they sent me all their ceremony selections, I quickly went through it made sure I edited the appropriate sections, the nice thing is that they had edited a lot of the ceremony and inserted their names in a lot of the places, that did make my job easier. Then on Monday I received a visit from a couple that is getting married on Aug 2, 2008 and they gave me the selections they picked for the ceremony program, I went through them and finished creating their program so were all set for the Aug 2, 2008 wedding, their wedding is going to have a rehearsal. I then received a call from a young bride whom is in need of a commitment ceremony on July 26, 2008 in Fresno, I meet her and her mother, we immediately connected they were so warm and friendly, that's one of the reasons I enjoy what I do, everyone is so friendly, we met at one of my favorite places to meet couples... starbucks I like the atmosphere there, and there seems to be something to drink for every taste. I have now received a few requests to marry in Pismo Beach CA which is another location I so love to join couples, the water, it's so romantic, I love it... Fri July 11 and Sat July 12 is in the process of getting booked, but I am still waiting for the brides to meet with me for the consultation. May everyone have a great and safe 4th of July!!!

Wedding at Copper River Country Club in Fresno Sat 06,21,08 at 4pm

This is a wedding to remember, they all are but there was something magical about the atmosphere. Perhaps it was the Spanish style hacienda, overlooking rolling hills with grape plantations, that made me think of wine, or the the golf course with the greenest of grass and palm trees everywhere you looked, or the water fountains that were large and spanish styled. Once inside the country club had a hacienda feel to it, there were iron cast chandeleers and the floor had flagstone throughout some areas, and spanish tile in others, I noticed spanish motifs on the walls that matched the spanish tiles laid in the walls... everything was nice, not to mention the natural cantera stonework everywhere. The reception had tables setup with the colors of gold, and an irridescent burgundy crushed tablecloths with more golden plates, and crystal settings. There were well over 200 guests attending and my favorite a mariachi band, they started playing right away, and this is how I know Mexico runs through my blood... I felt a huge knot welted in my throat, I recovered gracefully and said to myself "Yep I'm Mexican". I then went outside to make sure the microphone was setup properly then requested a podium. I went inside to sit in the fresh lobby which was truly a breath of fresh air with Mariachi playing who could ask for more... the atmosphere was truly festive. About 10 minutes before 4pm all guest started to take their seats on the outside veranda, then out of the blue... drops of rain started to fall and a thick rain cloud cooled off the 100 degree weather, I was glad for the rain as it cooled us off the rain subsided in just the right time for the groom to make his entrance and the procession was started with mariachi playing it was magical. The bride came down the stairs she looked stunning in her white dress with a diamond belt wrapped around her hips... this was a unique dress and if fit her personality to perfection. Her father handed her over to the groom, hugs were exchanged and the ceremony commenced. My part was pretty straight foward I gave a welcome to all the guests and then the promises, vows, and right about here I could sence the bride was touched with emotion, but stayed in control, then came the rings, and blessings and the marriage pronouncement and 'the kiss' what a sweet moment, I always look away to give the couple privacy but I feel warm and fuzzy inside. The kiss is the real seal of the marriage and a true expression of the love shared between the couple, the rings are the material symbol to let the world know they are commited to one another. I can't say how honored I trully am to perform this service for couples all I know is that I love my job and will always have the couples I marry in my heart. May God Bless this couple and their loved ones.

New Law for LGBT Social Movement

I am very pleased the new law sets in Monday June 16, 2008 at 5:01pm (PST). They are finally able to request marriage licenses and have nuptials. I will solemnize my first couple under the new law on Jul 19, 2008 at 7pm.
Another couple that were going to get married on July 19, 2008 have pushed their wedding to August 2, 2008. Everything seems to work out.
This weekend June 21, 2008 I join a couple in marriage at the Copper River Country Club in Fresno, it will be a beautiful spanish style wedding. So I am busy... busy... busy... and happy.

Wedding of Pedro Serrano and Cindy Ochoa in Madera CA

What a great day!! A while ago I met my neighbors mother a very sweet a quiet woman and then her son Pedro...he was walking his cute little daughter and I told him she was adorable, somehow the conversation took a turn and he mentioned that his little girls' mommy was his fiance... I then told him to let me know and I would unite them in marriage. I quoted him a that day for the entire ceremony. Today they came to the house and asked me to join them in marriage, I am so happy because they have since moved to Firebaugh and I was sad to never see them again. Now I get to see them again and they even invited my little girl to the wedding which will be held here in Madera at the Peters Brothers Hall on Saturday August 2, 2008 at 4pm.

Luis and Leonila Wedding in Cutler CA on Sat 05,31,08 at 4pm

This weekend I married a young couple in Cutler CA. They had a grand reception set up out in the country, there were flowers everywhere it had great decor and attention to detail the color theme was a burgundy, black and white it was very elegant. At the start of the ceremony the parents of both the Groom and Bride came up to the altar and gave them their blessing, needless to say a lot of tears were shed.

The bride was 'Beautiful' and the groom of course very handsome. The couple decided to include the 'lasso ceremony' I'm glad thet decided to have the lasso because it gave the ceremony a traditional spanish more florished touch. I enjoyed this wedding very much and hope they have a great start on their future together.

Wedding in Madera CA on Sat 05,24,08 at 6pm

This is Daniel and Maria Maya whom I joined in marriage on May 24, 2008 they are a beautiful young couple in Madera CA. The ceremony was to start at 6pm and I arrived early. The drive was out towards the outskirts of the town, I arrived at the final destination to find a really nicely landscaped backyard, it had two large waterfalls that cascaded crystal water into the pool. There were flowers on all the tables with white tablecloth and white chairs, palm trees enveloped the backyard to create a tropical feel, music was in the air and the backdrop was truly magical for a backyard wedding the color of lavender was pre-dominantly everywhere, lovely they were set up all around for the wedding decor. This truly will be a memorable wedding. Oh, and the bride she was lovely in her white dress as she proceeded through the processional. The groom was anxiously awaiting and pictures were being taken of those precious moments that will live with me forever, then the Prayers, Blessings, Promises,Vows, Rings, Kiss, Pronouncement, I could go on and on. Well that spectacular wedding is over and I hope to share pictures with all of you soon.

Pismo Beach Pictures

I found some awsome pictures of Pismo Beach and had to post them on this blog. It may some some couples time in deciding a Hotel to book. I think the Best Western Shelter Cove Lodge has great rates as low as $165 a night (there is a minimum day requirement to book). Book in advance if you want to stay at this hotel. Here are pics.

There is a nice gazebo overlooking the beach it is a great place for wedding ceremonies in the Best Western Shelter Cove Lodge, you must call and reserve of course.

I think you will agree that Pismo offers a great beach for weddings, this is a view of the beach on a beautiful day.

The beaches are not crowded and that makes it perfect for finding locations to setup ceremonies on the beach. The greatest thing is that when a wedding is being setup the people on the beach are so curtious as to not disturb the ceremony. It's great some people even take pictures or film the ceremony... talk about your wedding day living on.

Couple Consultation for Wedding on 05,24,08

My most recient couple are Maria and Daniel. I met with them this past Tuesday May 14, it has been a week since I started exchanging e-mails regarding an upcoming wedding in Madera CA. on May 24, 08 at 6pm. Tisa who is Daniel's sister was the person to contact me via e-mail. I'm so glad couples find me so easily on the internet. I decided to take my little Vezi she is my 5 yr old to the presentation, we met at Starbucks at 5:30pm. I see people going in and out but somehow I can always spot my couple. I spoted them, then introduced myself to Maria and Daniel, she is a beautiful woman and he is very fortunate to tie the knot with her. I went over the ceremony and the diverse sections that can be included and they happily hired me on the spot. Now I anxiously await the selected sections of the ceremony program so I can put them together.
